Outreach

Outreach is just that-the ROCK community reaching out to those in need.  Without a doubt, the giving and helping turns out to be a great blessing to those who donate their time, talent and treasures.  The following is a list of our current outreach activities:

Shalom House: We visit this home the third Saturday of the month.  This facility is located near Kimpo Airport.  Vist our Events calendar and watch for announcements on Sunday and in the Rock Paper Scissors Bulletin.  The Shalom House is a place where approximately 20-25 physically or mentally handicapped adults and one young girl live.  These individuals are supported by both charities, and some government assistance.  We've adopted them as an outreach and during our monthly visit we hold a short praise and worship service and then partake of a meal provided by our AAFES Town House. If you want a super blessing for a Saturday during your stay in Korea, then come on out and you won't be disappointed!

Other Outreach Events throughout the year are on-post picnics with the Shalom House residents . We also organize a Christmas Activity in December.  These events are announced on the website, at the ROCK Service and in the bulletin.

We're looking for additional help in this area.
